ab initio is an experimental project based on one word: ab initio.  The project is made of three segments consisting of a 2D, 3D and 4D interation. Each part realizes the idea od multiple beginnings.

Method: indesign, illustrator, after effects, silkscreen, recycled paper, pine wood.

2D

The 2D portion of the project is a play on the tear-off calendar. The pages are literal definitions of the word as well as, perforated pages that rip out to become origami papers.

3D

The 3D portion of the project is a biodegradable modular piece of furniture that is interchangeable as a stool or table. What makes it have a full cycle are the seed pockets implanted in the legs.
At disposal instead of throwing it out, it is buried to allow the wood to biodegrade and the seeds to sprout giving it a new life.

4D

The 4D portion of the project was an interview between two people having a conversation of what they believed life to be, in regards to their personal experience and beliefs.

Life is a series of beginnings. a narrative of what life is, was and will hopefully be.
